Day three of our staycation 2011 included a visit to the tide pools of Pt. Loma and the cliffs over looking the ocean at Nazarene University. The hike down (and back up!) to the cliffs was steep but not too bad. It was well worth it.
We had lunch at Phil's BBQ near the Sports Arena. I don't know about Paula, but I ate too much. We were served huge plates of delicious food. Couldn't leave it behind.
We wrapped the day up with a visit to Mt. Soledad War Memorial. The setting provides a spectacular view of San Diego and the surrounding area. But the highlight is the memorial. A great tribute to a lot of brave and patriotic people.
Tomorrow we're off to visit friends in Claremont, then to the Santa Monica Pier.
